Welcome to the Environmental Science Department at Flex College of Environmental Studies. Our department is dedicated to providing innovative and practical education focused on solving the environmental challenges of today and tomorrow. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, we equip students with the skills and expertise needed to make a positive impact on the environment. Our programs cover a broad range of topics, including climate change, natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. Environmental health, principles and issues; basic principles of toxicology; Principles of toxic action of chemical substances; Dose-response relationships; Exposure pathways, metabolism and storage of toxic substances; Carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and teratogenicity; Immune system & reproductive defects, emerging global environmental health problems, Agents of exposure and ionising radiation, biomarkers, risk assessment & communication, epidemiology; Methods of estimating exposure; physiologic health effects of toxicants, food and waterborne related diseases, Housing and hazards of poor housing, legal systems in Environmental health, Environmental health economics & policy. Field trip(s) will be required.
